Fox Hollow Docks

During the civil war, wounded were placed on rafts and floated down to the triage tent set up on the shores of what now holds a picnic area.
The area was left untouched during the rebuild of Fox Hollow until 20 years ago. When a retired Navy Rear Admiral Upper Half Officer, Jeremy Hull, placed a petition to the town to Save the Waterfront; it was accepted. He led crews in cleaning up the land, restoring docks, removing dams, and banking the shores in the event of flooding. These docks are the only ones where motorized watercraft are permitted in town. Swimming is not allowed due to the undercurrents and use of motorized vehicles.
